    Forest. Meet at the Grant & Chalfont parking lot.
   Wear a headlamp!

Sunday, Feb. 26 -- group run, 11:30 a.m. at group use
   area 1 trail at Birds Hill Park.

Sunday, Feb. 26 -- Birds Hill Provincial Park Winter
Open House. Snow Motion demonstration
at 1:15 p.m.

MARCH, 2012

Saturday, March 3 -- 17 Wing's Winter Festival.
Snow Motion demonstrations at 2 and 2:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 4 -- Kenora or Falcon Lake run.

* CLUB PASSING RULES:

Use the "suitcase hold" when passing other teams during group runs.
The faster team must call for "Trail", and wait until the slower team has time to stop and move off the trail. You may have to call more than once, as it's hard to hear with a toque, etc. covering the ears.
The team ahead controls the pass. Only when waved ahead can the passing team go on-by.
The passing team must allow the team ahead the time to gain control of their dogs. Come to a full stop and be patient. We have beginners in the club. Skijorers: remember that it takes longer for the kick sledders to get to their dog(s).
When passing, skijorers must shorten their gangline, to the point of attachment on the dog's harness. You can use your pole to guide your dog(s) on-by.
When passing, kick sledders must get OFF their sled, and guide their dog on-by from the dog's harness. Remember, your dog has 10 to 12 feet of gangline to swing around on and touch the other team.
The passed team should wait 1 to 2 minutes before attempting a pass.
Do not ride up the rear of the team ahead, no matter how much your dog enjoys chasing the rabbit. The dog(s) ahead have 12 feet of line to turn around to meet your incoming dog.
When passing head-on, the team going to the trail-head has right of way.
